Merry Inncident (Accidentally in Love)

About

Pear Tree Inn’s unshakable Isla Lawson has twelve days to pull off a Christmas Day wedding, which would be fine if the universe could just get off her back.
From a violent partridge to a multiplying guest list, raging snowstorms to missing deliveries, Isla never shies away from a crisis, but even she is reaching her limit. Lucky for her, she can always rely on an old friend.

Ewan Calder is steady, capable, and has spent over a decade quietly in love with the woman of his dreams.
He fixes what breaks, shows up before she has to ask, and somehow she still doesn’t see the way he looks at her.

But twelve days can change everything, and this Christmas, Isla and Ewan find themselves circling a truth that’s getting harder to ignore: maybe they were never supposed to be just friends.

A cozy, heartwarming prequel set in the village of Meadowcraig. Perfect for fans of slow burns, mutual pining, and small-town romance with a big heart.

Tropes:

  • Friends to lovers

  • Small Town

  • Mutual pining

  • 12 Days of Christmas structure

Praise for this book

This was the perfect holiday love story! I think may have actually melted as I read this book. I just adored Ewan and Isla! I want to move to Meadowcraig and renew my vows with my husband. Sadly, I looked it up and Meadowcraig is not an actual place despite how real it seemed in the words of Lisa Baillie. I am pretty sure that Lisa Baillie could write any kind of book she wanted! I wasn’t sure what to expect after The Observer and Checkmate, but this was a sweet holiday love story! I loved it from beginning to end! 💜
